Longer notes about our family, ongoing care, and why dependable transportation matters.
Reliable transportation is more than a convenience for our family. Medical rides have sometimes changed or could not take us across the state line, and rescheduling adds uncertainty to care that already asks a lot of us.
A dependable used vehicle would help my son and me get to appointments and emergency care with greater consistency. It would also mean less stress around each trip and more peace of mind as we keep moving forward.
My son has had episodes of unresponsiveness that led to emergency visits and further testing. He became diabetic in 2022, and his care includes appointments beyond the places we can reach with local transportation.
I am also continuing treatment for high-grade esophageal dysplasia. The specialist care I need is in Morgantown, West Virginia, a few hours away. Reliable transportation would make these important trips easier to plan and less dependent on rides that can fall through.
Funds raised are intended for a reliable used vehicle and the costs that come with getting it on the road: the vehicle itself, state and county taxes, a title change, and the start of full-coverage insurance.
